Managing Broker Cord McQueen has a rich history in Sales and Real Estate. His leadership style founded in genuine service with integrity has served well in running his own restaurants, a newspaper and now Newbury Park's largest real estate brokerage. His mother Erica was also a successful Realtor and for years McQueen worked as a team w/wife Mary in single and multi-unit residential sales earning top sales & service awards w/Gold Star Realty in the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys.
McQueen & Associates was born from referrals by a loyal residential & investor client base originally in West Los Angeles from their Beverly Hills office. Through early “housing bubble” years, the McQueen’s helped many investors buy rental properties and/or “flip” homes in addition to selling “dream homes” all over Los Angeles through Ventura and beyond. The Gold Coast has been a life-time home for the McQueen’s and their three children Caden, Preston (twins, 14) & Lauren (12).
With a degree in Communications from the University of California at Santa Barbara, McQueen has a track record of building successful sales teams w/Ritz Carlton Hotels, Chrysler Automotive and Marcus & Millichap Commercial’s Multi-Residential Division. He holds multiple certifications, is a member of the California & National Association of Realtors, one HOA Board and two MLS Boards including the Conejo Simi Moorpark Association of Realtors. McQueen also assists the firm’s relocation director experienced w/clients from Amgen, Intuit, Baxter, PetCo and others.
McQueen’s personable style involves heavy involvement and support in the local community. He volunteers for the Conejo Valley Open Space Assoc. a local HOA, Parks & Recreation and coaches kids on academic (Odyssey of the Mind) and sports teams (basketball & soccer). He also supports a number of local schools and causes including Habitat for Humanity, the Manna Food Bank and Toys for Tots. McQueen also has done community projects with the YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a county leadership committee. McQueen & Associates also has a continuing partnership with Easter Seals Southern California to provide housing for people with disabilities.
McQueen’s varied experience in commercial and residential real estate has helped McQueen & Associates Newbury Park become the area’s largest residential brokerage. The residential sales force is complimented with a Commercial Division, a Short Sale Team, two escrow partners and Capstone Direct as an “in-house” lender. Buyer’s Specialists focus on negotiating the best value while protecting clients. The office also now offers Live-Scan services and notary.
