Agoura Hills is a beautiful suburban community located along the 101 freeway between Westlake Village and Calabasas. Located about 45 minutes to Santa Barbara and to Los Angeles, Agoura Hills is in a wonderful location.
Paramount Pictures bought a ranch in Agoura Hills and the city was named “Picture City”. Later it was changed to Agoura Hills as the population grew.
Malibou Lake Mountain Club was incorporated in 1926 with 182 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains. They constructed a dam and a lodge for club members. Over 100 homes were built and were originally used as vacation homes.
The first home built in Agoura Hills was in 1850 called the Reyes Adobe which has been restored to its original condition and is located in Reyes Adobe Park.

Bank of America is the largest employer in Agoura Hills with over 800 employees. Other top employers are Las Virgenes School District, Teradyne, TouchCommerce, IBM and Zebra Technologies.
Some of the annual events in Agoura Hills are Reyes Adobe Days, 2nd Saturday at the Adobe, Conejo Valley Community Concert & Jazz Bands, Concerts in the Park and Movies in the Park.
