CAMARILLO WEATHER

Camarillo is a beautiful suburban community North-West of Thousand Oaks down the 101 Freeway Conejo Grade. Located just a half hour to Santa Barbara and an hour to Los Angeles, Camarillo is in a wonderful location. The city has its own train station with Amtrak and Metrolink trains allowing for commuters to get to work and easy travel for vacation. There is also a small airport for privately-owned planes. 

 

Camarillo was founded in 1898 & was named after the Spanish settler Adolfo Camarillo who owned & operated a cattle ranch for over 68 years, eventually progressing into crop farming. His 6000 square foot, 14-room house is absolutely gorgeous, with an amazing oak tree right out front. It is only open for special events during the year.

 

The population is approximately 65,000. Camarillo has amazingly mild weather year-round averaging 70 degrees. It was rated #23 in the Wall Street Journal’s “America’s 50 Best Cities to Live”.

 

Camarillo schools rank highly on www.GreatSchools.org Camarillo is proud of its local college – Cal State Channel Islands University.

 

There are many Camarillo parks in which soccer, baseball, basketball, water polo, swimming, softball, lacrosse and football are played. Camarillo has the largest AYSO league west of the Mississippi.

 

There are a few great places to golf in Camarillo: Spanish Hills, Las Posas and Sterling Hills.

The Camarillo Premium Outlets draw lots of shoppers with its 3 sections of stores plus a movie theater & restaurants.
